We develop, produce and install small wind turbines for farms. Our fleet includes more than 600 wind turbines, which are monitored daily. The fleet is going to grow more and more and that requires optimizations in all areas. As an electrical support engineer you are the point of contact when it comes to electrical issues and optimisations. Together with your direct colleague you are involved in three sub-areas:

  • Production and design of the electrical system of the mill, including the control box
  • The IOT monitoring system of the mills
  • The connection of the mills to the mains
  • Creating and designing tools for production automation
In this role you must be able to interact well with the various disciplines within EAZ. You interact a lot with the different departments.
For production you build tools that automate the work and you set requirements for quality. During installation, you work closely with the work planner to optimize the connection to the grid and to think about solutions. In addition, you coordinate a lot with the service department, who spar with you about incidents and analyzes from the fleet.

You have a practical attitude, you can make good connections with other people and other disciplines. You can switch well in a multitude of different tasks / subjects and do not lose the overview.

Together with your direct EL colleague, you are part of the engineering team, consisting of a software developer, three mechanical engineers and two production engineers. You report to the Technical Operations Director.

Activities and responsibilities

  • Operational support of production, installation and service
  • Quality control of incoming electrical parts
  • Optimizations and product improvement of the electrical system of the mill
  • Electrical purchasing advice
  • Electronic test rigs, build and take measurements
  • Build and design supporting electronic tools for production and installation

Profile

  • HBO working and thinking level
  • You have work experience in the realization of electrical engineering designs
  • You are hands-on and willing to build solutions yourself
  • You are good at solving electrical problems
  • You are socially skilled and you can work well with others
  • Knowledge of NEN1010 or NEN3140 is an advantage
